Here we have the standard police cycle and traffic cop waiting to give out the next ticket. My experienced observation of the police was that they behaved well and people gave them respect. I observed a number of interactions and it was clear they didn't take any crap, but they weren't reactive or gun happy either. For example, a cop stopped a guy running from some people, listened to all sides of the argument, and finally let him go with a warning not to endanger people by running wildly down the street. The neighbors seemed satisfied and everything went back to normal.
