DC Democracy 7 Fundraiser, at the Toutorsky Mansion,
1720 16th Street NW (between Riggs Place and S
Street), 6 to 9 pm. Celebrate the acquittal of the
Democracy 7 and help raise some cash for the legal
expenses. The Democracy 7, who were charged with
"Disruption of Congress" at a second trial that ended
with a unanimous "not guilty" verdict on February
15th, and their supporters are asking for donations of
$51 -- symbolic for DC's quest for becoming the 51st
State of the Union. Make checks and money orders
payable to the "FREE DC" Defense Fund. No one will be
turned away due to lack of funds -- even a donation of
51 cents will get you in the door. You're also
invited to donate something of value, such as an
autographed cartoon, a piece of art, a books, a
videotape, a gift certificate in the amount of $51,
etc., that can be used as a prize for our silent
