Sunday Nov 11 Demonstration, 1:00 p.m. 14th & PA, NW

This is a good chance to demonstrate your concern for the people of Afghanistan. Armistice Day is a great time to protest more killing of innocent people. Please come on Sunday, with signs, if you can. In alliance, Sue Wheaton

When: Sunday, November 11 at 1:00 pm

Where: Freedom Plaza, 14th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. NW

Who: Sponsored by the DC Anti-War Network (DAWN)

Why: Twenty-five percent of the Afghan population is exclusively dependent on foreign aid food sources to survive. Aid organizations have been unable to operate in Afghanistan since the start of the U.S. bombing campaign. If the U.S. does not stop the bombing at least long enough for aid to get through before the snows start, seven million Afghans will most likely die this winter. If this is the Bush Administration's idea of justice, we must make our voices heard in opposition.

What (Part II): Speakers, a symbolic "die-in" of people in Afghan clothes under the snows of winter, our signs, our voices, our bodies in protest!

Both before AND after the Freedom Plaza rally there will be a die-in of people dressed in Afghan clothes in front of the White House.
