On Nov 8, the Federal Election Commission rendered a
unanimous opinion recognizing the Green Party of the
United States as a national committee.

This ruling acknowledges the tremendous growth of the
Green Party and its role as the primary alternative to
the two-party duopoly that runs this country. And on
Tuesday, November 6, 2001 we had our most successful
election day in our history - over 30 victories for
Green Party candidates (116 in office across the
country).

And none to soon! With President Bush pushing a war
that will have no impact on terrorism and only lead to
more innocent deaths; with our country's leaders
trying to take away our constitutional rights and
stifling genuine debate about their actions, there has
never been a time like now for the Green Party. And
the Republicans and many Democrats are even moving to
increase corporate welfare with huge tax reduction
giveaways, pass anti-democratic Fast Track trade
authority, and open Alaskan wilderness for drilling.
All money for their corporate donors and none for
unemployed workers!

Make no mistake, the Green Party is the only party
advocating an agenda of peace, a nonviolent course to
prevent terrorism, and protection of those rights that
this nation is supposed to stand for.

PLEASE MAKE A CONTRIBUTION to support the party's
future even if you cannot attend. Thank you in
advance for your support and generosity.

Green Party at <http://www.dcstatehoodgreen.org>, and
