Hello everybody.
This is the state-wide coalition’s statement as of now. This can be used to send to anyone you think may be interested in joining the coalition.

PLEASE FOWARD THIS WIDELY!!!
Email me or Setareh (or both, preferably) if your group wants to be involved. Just give us the group name, and your personal contact (if you want). We are trying to coordinate this whole coalition right now, and trying hard to organize the first meeting effectively so that a lot of groups can make it. The groups is growing larger everyday!

Over the past 2 years, we have seen an escalation in international violence while the anti-war movement has tried to rise up in defense of common sense. There have been actions all over this state in an attempt to raise awareness to the aggressive and disgusting actions of the Bush Administration and the Pentagon. We need to send a clear message that Maryland DOES NOT WANT A WAR
with Iraq!
WE DO NOT HAVE MUCH TIME.
We are forming a large coalition of MD groups and citizens working against this war to organize a state-wide march on Annapolis!
So far these groups have signed on to the coalition, while those with a * have shown interest in joining and are discussing it with their groups. We urge you to join and help us build this urgent coalition!

We feel that taking Annapolis for a day will give this movement the momentum it needs to prevent a horrible and tragic war. People who would normally not attend a national demonstration will attend a local one, especially when it involves their lives personally. WE NEED TO LOCALIZE THE GLOBAL STRUGGLE FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE.
As of now, there is no official group, group name, exact demonstration plan, etc, Just a bold vision of a festival of peace and a celebration of our unity and solidarity in the streets of Annapolis. We must urge this state to pass an anti-war resolution and URGE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT that so-called President Bush does NOT ATTACK IRAQ!

No politics, just human feelings.
NO WAR.
Time is of the essence.

Contact us to get involved...
WE NEED THIS! PLEASE JOIN IN THIS STRUGGLE FOR A JUST AND PEACEFUL FUTURE!!!
